	l Frontal view with patient lying on his side l Cross table lateral technique l Non-dependent lung is hyperinflated l Free fluid will layer along dependent chest wall l Quantify (?) effusion l Simple or loculated? l Bonus is good look at “up” lung and finding unexpected contralateral effusion l Get both decub’s!
